Your images stay on your device — no server uploads
JPG replaces transparency with a white background.
Up to 30 MB and 32 million pixels. AVIF depends on your browser. Animated images become a still image.
Text & Data Converter
Convert text locally: HTML, TXT, Markdown, JSON, XML, CSV, TSV, Base64 and URL encoding.
HTML/XML to text extracts content, not layout or attributes. Markdown input supports basic headings, links and emphasis; Markdown output escapes plain text. Text to JSON/XML wraps the text in a document. CSV/TSV output requires CSV, TSV or a JSON array; object arrays use a header row. These are text conversions, not PDF, DOCX, YAML or executable code conversion. HTML is not executed. Review spreadsheet cells before opening CSV/TSV in a spreadsheet app.

Format guide
Your photo is huge. Does it need to be?
A crisp screenshot and a holiday photo need different formats. Picking the right one is the easiest first step toward a smaller file.
Read the guide
For photos, try JPG with quality around 85%. For text, diagrams and transparent graphics, try PNG. WebP is a useful option when your destination accepts it. Compare the downloaded file at its intended display size; a higher quality setting is not always visibly better.
No uploads needed
A WebP file your app won’t open?
Convert WebP to JPG without uploading the image. A familiar format can make sharing with older apps much easier.
Read the guide
Choose your WebP, select JPG and click Convert image. Download the result, then open it in the destination app. Any transparent areas become white. If transparency matters, choose PNG instead. The original stays untouched on your device.
Transparency
Keep the cutout. Lose the extra bytes.
A transparent logo needs a format that understands transparency. JPG is not one of them.

Use PNG to WebP conversion to keep transparency in a format designed for the web. For PNG to JPG with a white background, select JPG: the converter fills transparent pixels with white before encoding. Check soft edges against the background where your image will appear.
Mobile workflow
Big phone photo. Small upload limit.
Convert images locally before sending them. Choosing the right format and quality can reduce file size.
Read the guide
Choose JPG or WebP, try a quality setting of 85%, then compare the downloaded size with your upload limit. If needed, lower quality and convert again. Check fine details before sharing. This tool keeps your original image dimensions.
Compatibility
AVIF won’t open? Start with your browser.
Convert AVIF to PNG free online when your browser can decode the source image. No additional converter installation is needed.
Read the guide
Choose the AVIF file and wait for its preview. If your browser cannot decode it, the converter will explain the problem rather than produce an invalid download. PNG is a good output for broad editing compatibility. You can also convert BMP to PNG online free using the same steps.
Animation explained
One frame can tell the whole story.
Need a still image from a GIF? Understand what changes before you save it as JPG.
Read the guide
This GIF to JPG still image converter renders a single frame; it does not preserve animation or offer frame selection. Use PNG for a transparent still, or JPG for a white background. Keep the original GIF if you will need the full animation later.
No. The converter processes images on your device. Third-party advertising services make separate network requests and may use cookies.
Which formats are supported?
Open JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP and GIF images, plus AVIF when your browser supports it. Download JPG, PNG or WebP. Animated files become a single still image. HEIC, RAW, PDF and DOCX are not supported. Use the Text Converter tab for HTML, TXT, Markdown, JSON, XML, CSV, TSV, Base64 and URL encoding.
Why can the output be larger?
File size depends on format, quality and image content. PNG can be larger than JPG for photographs. Conversion does not restore lost detail; keep your original and compare the result.
